Ambient Experimental
Bondegi is the audiovisual project of Winnipeg musician Chris Harder. Known for pushing the boundaries of electronic music, Harder’s architectural approach to music and visual composition blends experimental video techniques with custom software and modular synthesis to create spontaneous improvised landscapes of sound and imagery.
Bondegi has appeared at events such as the Forthwith Festival, Prairie Wires, and The Graffiti Gallery/space)Doxa. A veteran of Winnipeg’s underground music scene since the early ’90s, Harder has played bass, guitar, drums, and synth in numerous bands, including as a founding member of shoegazers Projekor, who toured nationally and performed at Pop Montreal alongside acts like Eric’s Trip.
At Prairie Wires, Chris Harder will be performing solo as Bondegi at Mod on the Quad, as well as part of the duo probableSelves with Guitarist Rob Menard at the PWM2025 Showcase Concert Saturday evening at Evans Theatre. Harder will also give a lecture on using Ableton Live with hardware in performance for the Intro to Electroacoustic Music class at Brandon University School of Music on Thursday September 18, and lead a free “Introduction to (virtual) Modular using VCV rack” workshop at the Patch & Release Modular Synthposeum at the AGSM on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20.
